If your husband loves golf, you've probably heard every golf joke in the books, right? In fact, you might even feel like you were the person the jokes were referring to. Now that you are planning a birthday event for your husband who loves to play golf, from selecting men's golf apparel to giving him a special golf-related birthday gift, here are some ideas that might help you to plan an enjoyable and memorable birthday for your man.

The Gift - No matter how many golfing shirts your husband already owns, isn't it true that he would love to add to his collection? That's especially true if some of his golf apparel is showing too much wear. For example, if your husband has a favorite golf shirt that is about to wear out, consider buying exactly the same type and brand of shirt to replace that worn one. And, consider getting more of that type of golf shirt in different colors.

For example, if your husband likes navy blue pants to golf in, consider buying new golf shirts that will complement the navy blue color. Red and white are obvious choices, right? But, think of how well a yellow golf shirt will look with navy blue, too. For that matter, your husband might need brand new slacks. Think of getting him one or two pair that will go with the shirts you've selected. Another good gift would be a lightweight jacket that will be perfect for chilly spring mornings. 

The Event - Would your husband enjoy having friends over for a birthday dinner? If so, consider asking some of his golfing partners to bring their wives to a meal that includes your husband's favorite foods. Of course, you'll want a birthday cake that has a golfing theme to it. If you don't already play golf, think of surprising him with the fact that you want him to teach you, or that you are already enrolled to take golf lessons so that you can join him on the golf course. The good thing is that he'll already have new men's golf apparel to pack for the trip.
