Are You Shopping For Your Fall Wardrobe?

Summertime might be a fun time for wearing simple clothes like shorts and capris. However, fall is possibly the season that brings the best looking clothes, isn't it? Even though the fall season might seem short, consider the fact that summer is officially over on September 21. That means you can start wearing those gorgeous fall outfits pretty soon. Do you need to shop on a tight budget? If so, do you have a shopping plan? If that's not the case, from going to a vintage clothing store to having a trading-clothes party, here are some ideas that might help you.

Shop At A Vintage Clothing Store

Have you ever been to a store that sells vintage clothes? If so, you already know that you can usually get great clothes at wonderful prices. Think of what you need to go with clothes that you already own. For example, maybe you already have jeans that fit you to a T. If so, consider buying vintage T-shirts to go with them. If you love music, you'll probably be lucky enough to find band T-shirts.

The store will probably have a lot more than casual clothes. For example, if you're looking for autumn dresses that you can wear to elegant events, you'll probably find the right one for you in a different section of the store. Or, maybe you're looking for jewelry to wear with your new clothes. You'll more than likely find vintage costume jewelry at the same store.

Host A Trading-Clothes Party

Think of your friends who are about the same size as you are. Find out if they would be interested in trading clothes, either permanently or temporarily. Have a big mirror, probably in your bedroom, and set up a place where people can set the clothes they bring. If you have extra bedrooms, they can be used as fitting rooms, too.

If your friends are just trading outfits temporarily instead of permanently, suggest that they write down the names of those who took their clothes. Also, when you put out the word that you're having a clothes trading party, suggest that your friends bring things like scarves, jewelry and other accessories that they are willing to part with, at least for a while. You'll be surprised at how those accessories add to the vintage clothes. For example, a pair of jeans worn with a vintage T-shirt might become even more interesting when worn with a chic scarf.
